The winter holidays

Tonight begin the "Winter Holidays," which for me begin Thanksgiving night. Although I'm wondering if they should actually begin on Halloween. It seems the time between Halloween and Thanksgiving gets shorter and shorter. This year Chanukah ends on Christmas Eve.

For me the holidays end Valentine's Day, Mardi Gras or Chinese New Year, whichever comes last.
