I thought this would end today, did not count on being a victim vs innocent bystander. Of the two guys who were with me during the robbery one says he still has trouble seeing out of one eye, he tells me the other may lose a tooth. This should not have happened to them -- they may have saved my life.

1) My father died eight years ago today
That week was a lot like this one--there were 30-40 MPH winds in Michigan, which blew down telephone wires. As a result, his twin sister did not find out about his death until days after it happened.

My father could use every four-letter word in the English language and a couple others but he was funny about women and profanity. Men could curse all they wanted to as long as it wasn't directed at women and women were not allowed to curse, especially his daughter.
My mom said he would be horrified at the way my massage clients treated me. She said "he may have abused you but no one else was allowed to." I guess that's something.

Found my purse yesterday on the wall of the Portuguese ambassador's residence and my cell phone (still usable) on the lawn of the French ambassador's residence. And got to speak French. It's nice to be spoken to French, even it's obscene (which it was not)
