Today is President's Day. I have learned a lot of things since I started teaching again, for example, the fact that not only did George Washington not belong to any political party, he was against the concept of parties. And that he did not want to be president and Martha did not want to be first lady. And that she was loaded and probably wouldn't have got as far as he did without her.
