RIP RON GLASS

PORTRAIT OF THE SHOPPER AS A MIDDLE AGED WOMAN

I NOW HAVE FIVE SURGICAL INCISIONS

Plus screws in my foot, a Maryland Bridge and an implant. And I've been part of a couple NIH studies and outside drug trials and am registered with the National Marrow Registry. And I have a tattoo. No, it won't be hard to identify me.

TODAY IS SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY

I try to make EVERY Saturday Small Business Saturday.

Dreamt I was still in the hospital.

A bunch of people came to see me--didn't recognize some of them.

Still feeling sick on and off.

DONALD TRUMP HAS WON THE US PRESIDENCY.

It's kind of cool to be running the board while my old boss is hosting the network show.

SUFFRAGETTE CITY

Another reason to vote if you haven’t already: Members of Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Kavanaugh #54 (my mom’s and my court) were some of the original suffragettes who were arrested demanding the right to vote. It would be an insult to their memory NOT to vote: http://www.catholicdaughters.org

WELL, ISN'T THAT SPECIAL

Some things never get old. Funny at the beginning and end, meh at the middle.

I VOTED, TOO:

I have been voting since I was 18 and this was the WORST VOTING EXPERIENCE EVER.

1) I waited one hour and 34 minutes before I voted, which took all of two minutes.
2) It was hot in the building. And crowded.
3) No food or drinks were allowed so I couldn't drink anything to cool off.
4) Couldn't sit.
5) No wireless.

And it's even worse in Maryland. D says he waited TWO HOURS and went home in disgust. Maybe that's just Baltimore.

TODAY IS ALL SOULS' DAY

Prayed for the souls in Purgatory when I was in the hospital. If you don't believe in Hell, take the 42 bus to Mount Pleasant during evening rush hour.

TODAY IS ALL SAINTS DAY

Feast of All Saints: Today is the Feast of All Saints, which is celebrated every November 1. By the fourth century, this Feast of All Martyrs, as it was then known, was celebrated on May 13. The words “martyr” and “saint” originally meant basically the same thing — someone who is a witness to Christ even unto death. The …
